Travel is just so much fun, and when at home I travel in my head most of the time. I have many precious memories of trips near and farther from home, and the main reason for starting this website is to write down some of those memories. I like to read travelogues myself, and therefore I am sure there must be the odd person out there that will enjoy mine and get some inspiration from it.
I also enjoy reading, which is really just another form of travel, when you think about it. Many books have given me the opportunity to escape a boring day at home, or to explore a world I have never been to and never might get to. Some have persuaded me to visit a place just because it sounded as though I should. For example, Bill Brysons description of how Yellowstone is long overdue to blow us all up into oblivion, really made me want to visit the place. And so I did, and I wholeheartedly recommend it!
